DUSHANBE, 13.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron took part in the launching of the exhibition of historical items of Tajikistan titled “Tajikistan, — the Land of Golden Rivers” in the Guimet Museum in Paris.

DUSHANBE, 13.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron took part in the launching of the exhibition of historical items of Tajikistan titled “Tajikistan, — the Land of Golden Rivers” in the Guimet Museum in Paris.

The exhibition is being shown as part of strengthening Tajik –French ties in the field of culture.

Emomali Rahmon and Emmanuel Macron examined the exhibits devoted to the ancient cultural and artistic heritage of the Tajik people dating back to 4000 BC. It presents artifacts from the height of Zoroastrianism’s popularity, Achaemenid Empire, Greek-Bactrian, as well as the Kushan, and the Sassanid Empires.

Documentaries about historical and tourist sites of Tajikistan are showcased on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The exhibition shows the rich history and antiquity of the Tajik nation, and their contribution to the development of human civilization. It also tells the history of the Tajik statehood in different centuries, and the antiquity of the rich land of Tajikistan.

Over 210 unique items are being showcased at the Guimet Museum, which tell of the rich ancient history and civilization of the Tajik nation.

Visitors from France and other European countries will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the ancient town of Sarazm, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

President Rahmon noted his appreciation of President Macron’s efforts and initiatives on the comprehensive development of relations between France and Tajikistan, and for the organization of the exhibition.

To date, this is the largest exhibition of Tajikistan in the European continent.

The Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts in Paris was founded in the late 19th century by a wealthy industrialist Emile Guimet.
